Join and Follow the Conversation

Human Augmentation starts with conversations among a Knowledge Community with a shared purpose to solve a complex problem collectively. Participants share "a feel of the situation". Conversations are linked to documents and sites. They can link to more than one resource. The conversations produce true statements that become part of the knowledge structure. The new knowledge structure sparks new conversations.

Goal:

I send a Site to a user, and the user instantly starts having meaningful conversations. (not just commenting).

Personas and Communities:

  1. Seed Team uses Seed and stops using Discord.

  2. I send a Site about Golf to my friends, and they start participating.

  3. I send Contrapunto about the news, and my family starts participating.

  4. Jeremy and I send Noosphere to a friend, and she starts participating.

  5. Sofia shares Nodos de Conocimiento with a colleague, and she starts participating.

Assumption to test with users:

Seed has a product opportunity to make conversations a core, understandable part of the user experience.

Right now, the problems appear at three levels:

  1. Discovery: new users do not understand that conversations are part of the product and part of community participation.

  2. Comprehension: users get lost while reading individual threaded conversations.

  3. Management: users cannot easily follow all the conversations they are involved in.

Solving these would make conversations feel less like scattered comments and more like a living layer of community knowledge.
